Command Center Design and Installation Supporting Agile Situational Awareness

IZ Technologies’s Agile Situational Awareness solution allows customers to develop a user-defined operational picture or common operational picture, improve situational awareness, provide enterprise collaboration, and increase the speed and accuracy of decision-making.  This solution has been deployed across a broad spectrum of vertical industries and government agencies that benefit from shared collaboration and agile command and control.  To learn more about this please read our paper on the evolution of C2: The Activu approach.

IZT supported the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) system infrastructure project requirements for the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) Headquarters, Forward Headquarters, and AOR supported sites. We provided the design, engineering, procurement, installation, test, end-user training, and technical service support of C2 and C4ISR systems to include furnishings for new installations and technical refresh of current equipment for the command. Our work fell into three (3) major categories. Each category included the associated Project Management and Logistics support necessary for the successful completion of USCENTCOM J6 Project Management Office efforts.

IZ Technologies’ efforts resulted in the installation of command center systems to include integrated Operations Center video walls and displays to include the installation of Crestron systems, Activu systems,  BARCO and PLANAR video walls. Our design and installation teams supported various USCENTCOM facilities providing high sustainability, low life cycle support costs, and high performance outcomes. Our Command Center system designs provided 24 hour operation with built in redundancy and failover capability. Our command center designs also included planning for and implementing human factors condition to optimize operational functionality of the facilities. The planning and installations included determining HVAC and power requirements and completion of necessary electrical modifications. All testing and installation was completed in accordance with the Shore Installation Handbook.
